Andrew "Andy" Miller
is a father, husband, and Principal Engineer currently living in the Raleigh-Durham area
of North Carolina. Growing up in Buffalo, New York, he earned his Eagle Scout rank
with the Boy Scouts of America which is where the Buffalo "Bflo" Eagle name comes from.
He began his career as a Systems Administrator at the
University at Buffalo where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
and Master of Business Administration degrees. He became a FileNet Certified Professional while working
as a WebSphere and FileNet Administrator at M&T Bank. In 2011, he joined SPARC in Charleston, SC
to help modernize the VA claims processing system. After delivering a scalable FileNet platform,
he moved to MetLife in Cary, NC, where he has held roles in systems administration, incident
and problem management, as well as data & analytics. Throughout his career, he has used storytelling
to bridge the gap between business and technology, aligning technical solutions with business needs
while improving scalability, resilience, and efficiency across the enterprise.
